ACTIVITY IN FRENCH
Thanks to 3D imagery, take part in an extraordinary immersive journey through this reconstructed district of Narbo Martius: the two domus, the baths, and the streets.
Guided by a mediator, you'll explore the environment of one of the city's ancient neighborhoods — as if you were really there! A brand-new experience for the site and in Occitanie!
After the immersive visit, you can continue exploring these unique remains in Narbonne with a tour of the archaeological site.
All that’s left is to choose your date and time.
(Important! If you wish to do both the immersive and guided tours on the same day, make sure to book back-to-back time slots. Example: immersive visit 9:00 – 9:45 AM and guided tour 10:00 – 11:00 AM)
Discovered by Raymond and Maryse SABRIE, the archaeological site of the Clos de la Lombarde has been excavated since 1974 by the G.R.A.N. It corresponds to a residential area located north of Roman Narbonne, along the Domitian Way, near a large necropolis, and was occupied by grand domus whose famous frescoes are now displayed at the archaeological museum of Narbonne.
Our knowledge of the architecture of Gallo-Roman houses in Narbonne has greatly progressed in recent years. This is thanks to large-scale excavations and growing research in the field of wall painting.
